Maltby High Street Scheme
Rotherham Council has made a multi-million pound commitment to deliver improvements to local towns and villages across the borough.
The overall aim of the project is to work with neighbourhoods across the borough, to enhance their lived environment through a variety of improvement projects, focused on public spaces and centres.
As part of this, plans are underway to improve the public spaces and overall appearance of Maltby High Street. The proposed changes include:
- Improvements to footways along the High Street
- Enhancement of public spaces to tackle Anti- Social Behaviour and improve the overall pedestrian experience
- Greening of the High Street
- Improvements to the Historic Core (Blyth Road junction and the Memorial Garden)
- Enhanced definition of High Street gateways.
