Scrutiny commissions
We have an overarching Overview and Scrutiny Management Board (OSMB) plus three Select Commissions:
- Health Select Commission
- Focusing on health and adult social care issues
- Improving Lives Select Commission
- Focusing on improving outcomes for children and young people
- Improving Places Select Commission
- Focusing on environmental, housing and regeneration issues
Where and when are scrutiny meetings held?
Meetings in person are mostly held during office hours at the Town Hall, Moorgate Street, Rotherham S60 2TH. All scheduled scrutiny meetings are webcast and open to the public and press unless confidential items are being discussed.

Meeting dates
The formal commission meetings are usually held on a sixth weekly cycle with the Overview and Scrutiny Management Board meeting approximately every four weeks, (normally in the week before Cabinet).
