When an election takes place, the (Acting) Returning Officer must employ staff to open postal votes, work in polling stations and to count the votes.
The next scheduled elections will take place on 4 May 2028.
To work for us on an election, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Not be a close relative of a candidate, be carrying out any duties on behalf of a candidate or political party and not be politically active on social media.
