Postal Vote Opening Clerk
Duties include:
- counting envelopes returned
- following instructions on opening and checking contents of envelopes
- counting the number of ballot papers received
No previous experience is required, and staff receive a briefing before each session commences.
Payment for postal vote opening clerks is:
Daytime (8am to 8pm): £12.30, plus 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Evenings (8pm to 8am) and Weekends: £18.45, plus 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Staff are guaranteed a minimum payment of four hours.
