Postal Vote Opening Clerk
Duties include:
- counting envelopes returned
- following instructions on openning and checking contents of envelopes
- counting the number of ballot papers received
No previous experience is required, and staff receive a briefing before each session commences.
Payment for 4 July 2024 elections:
Daytime: £13.45 per hour
Evenings (from 8pm) and weekends: £20.17 per hour.
Pay includes 12.07% Statutory Holiday Pay.
Staff are guaranteed a minimum payment for four hours per session.
