Housing Associations

As well as Council housing, there are other social landlords with who rent properties within Rotherham. Housing associations are a “not for profit” organisation that have different types of properties to rent, which include homes for young people, families and the elderly.

Most of the housing associations within Rotherham work together with our Advice and Assessment Team, and we advertise some of their available stock on our website. To be able to show an interest in one of their properties, you would need to be eligible to join Rotherham’s housing register and make a housing application. Before making an offer of a tenancy, the housing association will check whether the applicant meets its own housing rules.
