Access Information and BSL activities

Every effort is made to ensure Rotherham Show is accessible, enjoyable and safe for disabled visitors, but please be aware that negotiating areas off the tarmac paths may be more difficult for wheelchair users and people with impaired mobility.

Visit the AccessAble website for more information

British Sign Language interpretation is offered across a selected number of stages, workshops and performances over the show weekend. Please look for where ‘BSL’ is indicated across the programme and the schedule.

Relaxed Sessions are designed to have a less formal atmosphere. They will be adapted in a variety of ways, including a more relaxed attitude to noise, freedom to enter, leave and move freely around the space, and lower sound levels. They are programmed during the quieter hours of the weekend, however, as it is a non-ticketed public event we cannot limit or predict audience numbers. Please look for where ‘Relaxed’ is indicated across the programme and the schedule.

Visual Performances are performances that don’t contain heavy dialogue and may even be entirely visual. An entirely visual show, containing no dialogue, would not have a BSL interpreter but would be accessible for d/Deaf people. Please look for the Visual Performance logo across the programme, and ‘visual’ is indicated in the schedule.
