A guide to street works permits
The Yorkshire Common Permit Scheme is intended to deliver public benefits by minimising the inconvenience and disruption caused to all road users, residents and businesses by road works on the busiest roads on the network.
To work on an affected permit street, an activity promoter must apply for a permit which details how the work will be carried out to minimise disruption.
Anyone carrying out road works on permit streets must comply with this scheme.
