Informal care arrangements
If you are caring for a child with their parents’ agreement and you are a close relative, you do not need to inform us. This does not mean you can’t come to us for advice and support.
If you contact us, we can help to signpost you to the services available.
If you need any support, we may need to complete a Family Assessment of Need through our Family Help teams. This means a practitioner would meet you and the child in your care to learn more about your needs and make a plan.
