Confidentiality of complaints
In the interests of fairness and natural justice, members will usually be told who has made a complaint against them.
If you make a complaint about a member you can ask that your identity is withheld. This will be granted in certain circumstances, for example:
- You have reasonable grounds for believing you would be at risk of physical harm
- You work closely with the member and are afraid of the consequences for your employment
- You suffer from a serious health condition that might be made worse
