What is a dropped kerb

A dropped kerb is a part of the pavement where the edge has been lowered to make it easier for cars to drive over. This helps people get their cars into driveways from the road. It also makes it easier for people using wheelchairs, strollers, or bikes to cross the street.

Access to the public highway must be possible from a commercial driveway or residential driveway

If you would like a dropped kerb (vehicular access crossing) or would like to amend the existing access outside of your property, you will need our approval.
