Why your application may be refused
Before proceeding with your application to form a dropped kerb / vehicle access crossing at your property, please read the following information on why an application could be refused;
- There is a well established tree to the front of your property
- There is not sufficient width to the side of a lighting column to allow a dropped kerb (1 metre either side)
- There is not sufficient width to the side of a telecoms pole or cabinet to allow a dropped kerb (1 metre either side)
- You do not have a suitably surfaced hardstanding or driveway at your property*
- Your parking area is less than our minimum requirement of 2.5m by 5m
*Suitably surfaced refers to a driveway constructed with tarmac, concrete or blocked paving, or a stoned surface with 1m of hard surface directly adjacent to the footway.
