Private Sector Selective Licensing Survey 2023

The private rented sector is an essential part of the Housing Market and has trebled in size since 2002. Rotherham declared its current 2020-25 Selective licensing areas in parts of Parkgate, Thurcroft, Maltby, Dinnington, Eastwood/Town centre and Masbrough. The aim of the declaration is to encourage the improvement of these areas, by identifying and improving poor quality accommodation and encouraging high quality accommodation to the benefit of tenants, neighbouring landlords and owner occupiers.

The Covid 19 restrictions have delayed our intended actions, but we are now working hard to deliver improvement in all areas.
