As part of our climate emergency action plan, a paper and card recycling service are going to be provided to existing business waste customers at no extra charge during 2023 / 2024.
Initially, a second bin of equal size and capacity to your current bin will be delivered along with information on the collection date.
As the new business waste twin-stream collections roll out across the borough, business waste services will work alongside businesses to identify the right number of bins for their needs.
All the necessary details about the changes are being sent directly to businesses, therefore it is important for the council’s business waste customers to ensure their contact details are up to date by contacting us as they prepare for the new service.
The paper and card recycling bin will be used for paper, card, newspapers, and pamphlets, and will be collected every week alongside general waste collections. This is subject to change once we are confident that all businesses have the right number and sized bins.
Businesses across Rotherham have a legal duty to separate and recycle their own waste. Waste collection and disposal is not included in business rates.
