The offer that Rotherham Council can provide to private landlords is a free tenant finder service for landlords and agents. The scheme helps landlords by matching their properties to people who are looking for accommodation in the private rented sector across Rotherham borough.

There are a number of benefits that are available to landlords when choosing to engage with the council. There are no costs to you for offering your property and we will advertise your property to potential tenants on your behalf. However, at the same time, you retain full control of your property so you are under no obligation to take a tenant and can continue to advertise elsewhere.
The current scheme incentives are:
- The offer of rent in advance
- Tenancy deposit paid
- Local housing allowance top-up
- Free Housing and Health and Safety Rating Standard (HHSRS) assessment
- Dedicated landlord liaison officer
- Tenancy support for tenants*
