Travel network improvements
Sheffield City Region’s Active Travel Implementation Plan sets out how, by 2040, a fully connected network of walking and cycling routes will link our region, ensuring people have the means and the confidence to leave their cars at home.
Public transport, walking and cycling projects currently planned within the borough of Rotherham, and linking with the wider region, are listed in this section.
Many of these schemes will be paid for with the £166 million that the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority has secured from the Government’s Transforming Cities Fund.
