Rawmarsh East ward is currently in the Wentworth & Dearne constituency and when the new Parliamentary constituency boundaries come into force, it will be in the Rawmarsh & Conisbrough constituency.

There is potential for the following housing developments:
- RAEA: Approx 12 properties with an estimated polling station electorate of 14.
- RAED: Approx 458 properties with an estimated polling station electorate of 571.
(Acting) Returning Officer’s comments and proposals
- Taking into account the potential housing developments for RAED polling district, the estimated polling station electorate would exceed the new recommended maximum electorate.
It is proposed that the RAED polling district is split into two new smaller polling districts, with the new boundary running along Kilnhurst Road.The new polling district to the south of Kilnhurst Road will be named RAED and the new polling district to the north of Kilnhurst Road named RAEE.
The (Acting) Returning Officer is not aware of any issues or concerns about the current polling place for RAED, therefore it is proposed that RAED and RAEE allocated as the polling place for both polling districts.
