Brinsworth ward is within the Rotherham Parliamentary constituency, and this will remain the case when the new Parliamentary constituency boundaries come into force.

Current arrangements

There is potential for the following housing developments:

• BWE: Approx 34 properties with an estimated polling station electorate of 47

(Acting) Returning Officer’s comments and proposals

1. The (Acting) Returning Officer is aware that Brinsworth Howarth Primary School (BWC) do not wish to be used. Unfortunately, the (Acting) Returning Officer has not been able to locate a suitable alternative within the polling district or one which would not cause significantly increased travelling distance for electors. Therefore, it has not been possible to propose an alternative, however, suggestions on a suitable alternative are welcomed.
2. The (Acting) Returning Officer is not aware of any other issues or concerns relating to the polling districts or polling places in Brinsworth ward, and therefore does not propose any changes to the existing arrangements.
